CVREP

COACHELLA VALLEY REPERTORY
October, 2009

Dear Theatre Lover,

I can’t begin our monthly e-letter without starting with our grand success at the Annenberg Theater at the Palm Springs Art Museum…What a day! The theater was filled to capacity and the audience loved the performance. Our success was a great opportunity for CV REP to prove ourselves to the museum and the community.

The Board and I will work hard to nurture the new relationships we have formed as a result of this event. We will continue to strive to create the next innovative and thought provoking theatre piece that will inspire, entertain and educate our community.

If you missed the October performance of REFLECTIONS OF LINO, there will be a repeat performance on Saturday, November 14th at 2pm at the Annenberg Theater in the Palm Springs Art Museum (click here for more information).

Hope to see you there!

Sincerely,
Ron Celona
Artistic Director

In The News
CV REP is in the news! As we being our second season, CV REP is gaining popularity and getting written up by the press. Since September, we have been on two radio programs and one TV show. Here are some of the stations and publications that have taken an interest in our mission.
The Desert Entertainer, The Desert Sun, The Sun Runner Magazine, The Bonnie Gilgallon Show on KNEWS, The Joey English Show on KNEWS and Entertainment This Week on Time Warner Cable.

This November, “Eye on the Desert” on CBS 2 will be doing a story on our November performance of REFLECTIONS OF LINO.

Wish List
There are numerous ways that the public can help support our growth. If we don’t ask, we don’t receive! So we decided to create a wish list each month that will include large and small ways that you can help us achieve our goals.

• We are still looking for a donated public space to operate our business out of. At present we have been doing business from a home based office. If we had a public space we could start to staff it with volunteers who are waiting in the wings.

Grant Writer, although the Board are hard at work writing grants, they could use the support of other volunteers that have this skill under their belt.

Committee Members, each Board member is steering a committee on different development opportunities. If you would be interested in serving on one of these committees, please contact Gary Hall at Gary.D.Hall@wellsfargo.com for more information.
